Confidence Through Clear Guidance: Your First Consultation

If you’ve never worked with a lawyer before, I get it—your first consultation can feel a little overwhelming. That’s why I focus on giving every client confidence through clear guidance right from the start. Whether we meet in person, on Zoom, or if I come to you at home or in the hospital, I’ll walk you through every step so you know what to expect.

We Meet Where You’re Most Comfortable

You decide how we meet. I’m happy to sit down in my office, connect over Zoom, or come to you when your injuries make travel or virtual meetings difficult. We can handle documents digitally to get things moving quickly and smoothly. My goal is to make this process easy, not stressful.

I Ask a Lot of Questions—for a Reason

I’ll be upfront: I ask very personal questions. Some may feel tough. There’s a reason for that.

It’s the nature of the beast. It’s how the game is played. But your case is not a game.

I try to keep our conversation relaxed, but this isn’t just a social call. There’s a method to the madness. Every question helps me understand you, your injury, and how it’s affected your life. That’s how I build a case that truly reflects your experience.

Let’s Talk About What Happened

This is the heart of our meeting. We’ll talk through exactly what happened, what kind of care you’ve received, and what you’re still dealing with. If you’ve got paperwork, great—we’ll review it. If you don’t, that’s okay too. I’m prepared either way.

The more information you give me, the better. But I also know sometimes clients have very little to start with. That’s fine. I’m ready.

We’ll Review and Sign What’s Needed

Before we finish, we’ll go through the important documents—retainer, authorizations, and any legal filings we need to make right away. I’ll explain everything in plain English. And I welcome your questions—ask as many as you like. You deserve to understand what’s happening at every turn.

Next Step: The Deposition

In the next blog, I’ll walk you through what to expect during your deposition. But here’s a preview:

This is where you finally get to be heard. You’re more than a pile of records—you bring your case to life.

And just like with everything else, I’ll make sure you’re prepared—with confidence through clear guidance.
